Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center is the city owned and operated animal shelter. Shelter Planners of America was selected to design a the addition which includes a new medical clinic to perform spay & neuter services on shelter animals and low cost services o the public. The Addition also includes 3 Cat Community Rooms each with their own Catio as well as Puppy Room and Puppy Sun Porch. The existing shelter looked like a “post office” according to the city staff and they wanted a new look that was less intuitional. SPA prepare numerous designs for consideration and the City selected the playful design with animal silhouettes and animal paws.
